Introduction

ICMS (Innovative Content Management System) is a new cms (Content Management System) written in the language php with the aim of helping ordinary people to publish extraordinary websites. As a free open source project, the code of ICMS is completely open for anyone to use; I mean we don't really want to re-invent the wheel.

Why another CMS?

Currently, there are lots of content management systems already available in php for free, but each has its own methods and its own functionality. One CMS might lack features, but then another point of view might show that the CMS is easy for anyone to use. Similarly, a cms could be full of features, but there could be a great learning curve. ICMS is designed with the intentions of making it easy for beginners to create a general personal site, but also to supply developers with the tools they need to create their own flexible website or web service. To put a long story short, ICMS is created with the intentions of making the task of creating a website easy, enjoyable and fast, while still allowing for great flexibility. In case you haven't realised by now, that's no easy task, which is exactly why we're taking it on.
